DICC BALLROOM GALLERY

The Denarau Island Convention Centre (DIC) stands as the largest air-conditioned venue in Fiji, offering exceptional flexibility with its layout options. It can comfortably accommodate up to 700 guests seated at round tables of 10 and has the capacity to host over 1,000 guests, depending on the arrangement. This versatile venue is the perfect setting for grand celebrations, such as the extraordinary event featured in the gallery below.

Dubbed the 'Wedding of the Decade,' this lavish three-day wedding extravaganza culminated in a breathtaking celebration at the DIC. The final evening began with a wedding ceremony enhanced by stunning special effects, creating an illusion of fire as the bride walked down the aisle toward the custom-built mandap. The mandap’s background was designed to replicate the balcony of the bride's favorite castle in India. As the ceremony unfolded, the lighting transitioned from late afternoon to a sparkling night sky.

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed pre-dinner drinks on the DIC’s outdoor terrace before re-entering the venue, where they were awestruck by a complete transformation into an 'Enchanted Rainforest.' The immersive experience featured animated effects, including a roaring tiger, flying birds, and twinkling fireflies. The seated dinner for 400 guests transitioned into 'Party Time,' with dancers and vibrant effects, bringing the celebration to a thrilling conclusion.

Akansha and Kaartik’s wedding introduced groundbreaking special effects never before seen in Fiji or the Pacific, with every element tailored to the couple’s unique vision. This remarkable event brought together a team of local and international suppliers, expertly coordinated by Kim Beddoes, Managing Director of Fiji Weddings, resulting in an unforgettable wedding spectacle that set a new benchmark for Luxury Weddings in Fiji.

For those seeking an air-conditioned venue in Fiji for a large-scale ceremony or reception (500+ guests), the DIC offers the ideal solution.
